VENUE:

The venue for the Ph.D. summer school is in the most northern, and one of the most beautiful, parts of Denmark, more exact at Hotel Petit in the town Skagen. Skagen is located in the part of Denmark called Jutland (see map below)

Getting there

Some travel information to:  Hotel Petit, Holstvej 4, 9990 Skagen. Tel: +45 98441199.

Flight to Copenhagen – flight to Aalborg –from Aalborg Airport to Frederikshavn station .- change to local train to Skagen.

(example: Flight to Aalborg from Copenhagen Airport: 12.00 – arrival Aalborg 12.45.  From airport 12.54 or 13.45 to Frederikshavn station. Arrival Frederikshavn 14.16 or 15.14 – change to local train leaving at 15.18 or 17.18 – arrival Skagen 15.54 or 17.54. Taxi to hotel approx. 10 minutes).

For those travelling from Sweden. There is a ferry boat Göteborg – Frederikshavn, link. www.stenaline.com. (example: dep. Göteborg 15.00, arrival Frederikshavn 17.00. Local train 17.18 or 19.24 – arrival Skagen 17.54 or 20.00).

For those travelling from Norway. There is a ferry boat leaving Oslo, link:   www.stenaline.com. It is a night ferry so you will have to leave 26/8. (example: 19.30 – arrival Frederikshavn 07.30. Local train 9.18 – arrival Skagen 9.54).
